Beatitude #1: You Don't Know What You Don't Know

This is by far the most important Beatitude on this site. It parallels with Don't Fight It (Commandment #1). If you really want to Get Nice, then you must understand that knowledge is the strongest power in society. Think about how many mistakes and poor decisions you have made throughout the course of your life. I can guarantee that 95% of those were made not because you weren't smart or capable; but rather you didn't have the knowledge and thus the power to make the correct decision.

Your health is a perfect example of this. Dr. Brandon Shriner, a Chiropractic Physician in Lewis Center, Ohio recites this Beatitude in one of his educational youtube videos. Dr. Brandon says that the issue lies not in the want of people to be healthy but the lack of knowledge of what health is that prevents them from accomplishing this goal. How many people are aware that diet, nutrition, lifestyle, stress management, and Chiropractic adjustments of the spine is what truly brings health to the body rather than taking a prescription drug to mask the root cause of their health issue? I'll give you another example: I graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education in 2015, and while many people gave me endless praise, recognition, and congratulations; the fact of the matter is that I had not a clue of how to file a tax return, basic personal finances, health insurance billing, how to change a tire, how to do basic household maintenance, how to sell a product and also how to sell myself. The point I am trying to make is if you are of a student age, make a strong effort to learn as much as you can OUTSIDE of the classroom and from many different people. Don't rely on solely your parents or family. I beg you to obtain the ultimate power in life- knowledge.
